Dawood Ahmed & Co has bought and sold used crawler cranes worldwide since 1996, with stock held in the UAE and sourced from markets across Europe, Japan, the Gulf and the United States. These are crawler cranes used for lifting on piling, bridge and plant erection work, mostly American, Kobelco, Sumitomo and Hitachi. Machines bound for Pakistan move by sea freight into Karachi and Port Qasim; we prepare the shipping paperwork.
What we stock
Our crawler crane stock changes constantly, we are buying as well as selling, so the list below is drawn live from our catalogue rather than written by hand. Typical makes are American, Kobelco, Sumitomo and Hitachi.
Every machine is sold as inspected. We do not overstate condition: what you see in the photographs on each listing is what ships. Serial numbers, year and hours are published on the listing page for each unit. If a machine you need is not on the list, we will source it, that is a large part of what we do.
Exporting to Pakistan
We ship to Pakistan from wherever the machine stands, whether that is our UAE stock or a unit we source for you elsewhere. We arrange sea freight into Karachi and Port Qasim, and prepare the invoice, packing list and certificate of origin your clearing agent will need.
Loading, lashing and any pre-shipment inspection are organised from our side. We have been trading with Pakistan and the wider region for close to thirty years.
Inspection, loading and paperwork
Machines can be inspected on any working day where they stand. We will start and run a crawler crane for you, and there is no objection to you bringing your own technician or a third-party inspection company.
Once a machine is sold we handle loading and lashing, and issue the commercial documents. Shipping documentation for Pakistan is prepared in-house.
